Ece holds BS and MS degrees in Environmental Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU). She continues her doctoral studies at the same university and department. During her master’s education, she studied the potential of micropollutants to infiltrate groundwater in the field of water pollution and management. Within the framework of her ongoing doctoral program, she conducts research on the evaluation of agricultural wastes in a cyclical bioeconomy.

She has been involved in R&D projects, water quality assessment and environmental monitoring projects in the sector since 2015. She joined the GTE team at the beginning of 2019 and works as an expert in the fields of resource efficiency, sustainable production and circular economy. Her fields of activity include waste management, circular economy, water efficiency, industrial symbiosis and Green OIZ. In addition, she develops R&D projects that aim to reduce resource use and circularity, in addition, to waste, and operates in project studies. She takes part in field studies in projects for many sectors such as textile, energy, food, glass, metal, plastic, chemistry, and fertilizer, and takes part in feasibility and road map studies. On the other hand, she has been operating as a board member of the Climate Research Association since 2021.
