
Doğu SEVER graduated from the Faculty of Political Science Department of Economics of Ankara University in 2002. He received his first MSc degree from Hacettepe University, with a dissertation entitled “Transfer Pricing and its Effects on Turkish Economy”. His second MSc degree was received after successful completion in the “Applied Carbon Management” department at the University of Glasgow, the UK in 2012. Doğu received his PhD degree in 2015 after completing his research on sustainable businesses, ecological taxes and carbon trade.
Doğu started his career as a tax inspector at the Turkish Ministry of Finance in 2004. In addition to tax audits that Doğu performed for various sectors during his work life at the MoF, he also prepared a science report entitled “An Evaluation of Trade Marks and Patent Regulations within the Context of Turkish Tax System” in 2007. Besides providing professional advisory service to multinational companies, he has also defended clients by attending tax-court hearing sessions.
Doğu has broad experience in internal and external audit, tax audit, tax advisory and structuring, risk management, bilateral tax treaties, and creating and managing CSR projects in both the public and private sectors. Doğu Sever, one of the founding members of the Climate Research Association, is the founder and managing partner of DG Auditing, Consulting & Certified Public Accounting Co. He is a member of the Chamber of Sworn-in Certified Public Accountants (CPA-YMM) and he has an Independent Audit License.
