
M.Kemal Demirkol, one of the founding members of the Climate Research Association, has been involved in many national/international projects in the sector since 2003 in the fields of carbon certification and trade, carbon and water footprint, critical infrastructures, energy efficiency and renewable energy. He took part in the team that calculated industrial emissions in the preparation of the First National Communication of Turkey.
His areas of expertise include climate change mitigation and adaptation action plans for cities, resource efficiency, and sustainable/smart cities. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, and a master’s degree in Science and Technology Policies. He is continuing his doctorate studies at METU Earth System Sciences Department.
